SSURGO version 1 data is still being used, although it is no longer supported by USDA-NRCS.

3. SSURGO version 2.x is the new type of "detailed" USDA-NRCS Soil Survey in digital format (scale 1:12,000 to 1:24,000).

STATSGO (State Soil Survey Geographic Database)

STATSGO is a less detailed soil survey "generalized" from printed soil survey data (scale 1:250,000).
