1973 Yearbook Editor’s Comments                                         Karen Cason

I leave with thoughts of how it was

When I was just a kid

Just living through those hectic days

Was quite an accomplishment

I remember the times I questioned

The right and wrong of it all

That time that pig skin victory

Meant more than a man and his home

And take the time I didn’t pay

That crazy permit fee

I either walked or feared the worst

A towed-off Fury II

They even tried to make me buy

My parent’s tax-bought locker

No big deal, but all the same

It did seem pretty strange

They taxed the clubs and watched the halls

Hoping to catch a “looney”

Who wouldn’t pay or didn’t have

That sacred blue slip handy

But most of all I think I’ll leave

With thoughts of all my friends

Those Randies, Mikes and Matthews,

    those Patties, Cindies, Daves

Along with Holly, Tom and Rank

Plus Robert, Joy and John

Who made those days worthwhile.
